Normalized Centrifugal Pump — SeriesFBCN
Normalized horizontal centrifugal pumps for industrial applications with clean or turbid liquids. Mechanically compliant with ASME B73.1.
TL;DR
The FBCN normalized centrifugal pump is a horizontal back-pull-out pump compliant with ASME B73.1, built in cast iron, A216 WCB carbon steel or A743 CF8M stainless steel, for water, chemicals and low-viscosity process liquids.
It spans 53 models — 43 standard DN25–DN150 and 10 large-capacity DN200–DN300 — with flow up to 2,200 m³/h, head up to 138 m, operation up to 260 °C and rotation up to 3,500 rpm.
The back pull-out design removes the rotating assembly without disconnecting piping, cutting maintenance from about 8 h to 2 h.
Hydraulic sizing follows API 610 (12th edition); fire-fighting models meet NFPA 20 and NBR 16704; the Q×H curve of each model is measured on an in-house test bench.
Manufactured in Cabreúva-SP since 1944, with hydrostatic testing at 1.5× design pressure, CRCC Petrobras qualification and a Data Book traceable by serial number.

High-performance Industrial Water Pump per ASME B73.1
Because it follows the ASME B73.1 dimensional standard, the FBCN is interchangeable with normalized pumps from other manufacturers — it replaces legacy equipment reusing the same baseplate and piping, with no installation rework. It is FB Bombas' line approved in refineries, petrochemicals, pulp and paper, water treatment and sugar-ethanol mills, with application engineering and spare parts handled by the factory itself.

Flow × Head Selector
Find the FBCN model for the Q × H operating point of your application
| Head (m) ↓ Flow (m³/h) → | < 50 | 50–150 | 150–400 | 400–1,000 | 1,000–2,400 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 100–140 | — | — | — | ||
| 60–100 | — | — | |||
| 30–60 | |||||
| 15–30 | — | ||||
| up to 15 | — | — |
Select the operating point by combining flow (m³/h) and total head (m) to find the FBCN models sized for your application. Large-capacity models (DN200-300) require direct technical consultation.
Power Selector (hp → kW)
FBCN models classified by typical absorbed power in water at 1750 rpm
| Power (hp metric) | Equivalent (kW) | Suggested FBCN models |
|---|---|---|
| up to 5 hp | ≤ 3.7 | |
| 5–15 hp | 3.7–11 | |
| 15–30 hp | 11–22.1 | |
| 30–60 hp | 22.1–44.1 | |
| 60–150 hp | 44.1–110.3 | |
| > 150 hp | > 110.3 |
Actual absorbed power depends on the Q×H×fluid combination (density and viscosity) — this table shows the typical maximum value for water at 1750 rpm. For exact sizing, see the model performance curve at /en/products/fbcn-series/[model]/specifications.

- COMPARISON
FBCN vs FBOT — standardized centrifugal or thermal oil?
Both share the centrifugal principle and back-pull-out construction. The decision point is temperature: up to 260°C FBCN handles it; above 260°C — up to 350°C — FBOT is the path.
