External Gear Pump — SeriesFBE
External gear pumps with positive displacement, designed to work with viscous fluids in industrial applications.
TL;DR
The FBE external gear pump is a positive-displacement pump that moves viscous fluids by the meshing of two helical gears — constant flow, proportional to rotation and independent of pressure.
It handles flow up to 6,500 L/min (390 m³/h), pressure up to 22 kgf/cm², temperature up to 350 °C and viscosity up to 100,000 SSU, across 12 catalogued sizes from 1/8" to 6".
Suitable for lubricating oils, asphalt, resins, polymers, biodiesel, glycerin and viscous chemicals; a heating-chamber (CA) variant handles thermo-sensitive fluids.
Helical gears in heat-treated alloy steel for quiet operation, self-lubricating TM23 bronze bearings, body in cast iron ASTM A48, carbon steel ASTM A216, stainless ASTM A743 (CF8M) or bronze ASTM B584, mechanical seal or packing, and ASME B16.1 flanges.
API 676 compliance, manufactured in Cabreúva-SP since 1944 — every pump undergoes a hydrostatic test at 1.5× design pressure on the in-house bench before shipping.

Made-to-Order Models — 5" and 6"
Made to orderLarge-bore pumps manufactured to order. FB engineering sizes per application — flow up to 6,500 L/min (390 m³/h), ASME B16.1 flange connections, optional heating chamber (CA) for heat-sensitive fluids.
Heating Chamber (CA optional)
Optional available on FBE 1.1/2", 2", 3", 4", 5" and 6" — for any fluid that needs to be heated or kept at temperature during pumping
Body with integrated double chamber — inlet (C1) and outlet (C2) BSP — circulates thermal oil, steam or hot water around the pump body to heat or maintain the pumped fluid temperature. Flow and pressure parameters are identical to the base model — the chamber is just the constructive option.
| Model | Chamber Connection | Typical application |
|---|---|---|
| FBE 1.1/2" CA | 3/8" BSP | Any heated fluid, small/medium duty |
| FBE 2" CA | 1/2" BSP | Any heated fluid, small/medium duty |
| FBE 3" CA | 1/2" BSP | Any heated fluid, medium duty |
| FBE 4" CA | 1/2" BSP | Any heated fluid, high-volume duty |
| FBE 5" CA | 1/2" BSP | Large volumes — by design |
| FBE 6" CA | 1/2" BSP | Large volumes — by design |
