A normalized pump follows standardized dimensions defined by technical standards (such as ASME B73.1, DIN 24256). This means connections, base and shaft have fixed measurements, allowing direct replacement with equipment from any manufacturer following the same standard. FBCN pumps follow ASME B73.1.
What are the advantages of using normalized pumps?

Are FBCN pumps compatible with other brands?
Yes. FBCN pumps follow the ASME B73.1 dimensional standard: against pumps of any source of supply carrying the same dimensional designation, mounting dimensions, nozzles, shaft and baseplate bolt holes coincide. Duty point, NPSHr, flanges and materials are confirmed by engineering on the data sheet.
How is the nomenclature for normalized pumps defined?
The FBCN nomenclature follows the standard: discharge diameter - impeller diameter. For example, FBCN 50-200 means 50mm discharge and 200mm impeller diameter.
Can I replace an imported pump with FBCN?
In most cases yes. If the imported pump follows ASME B73.1, the FBCN can be installed directly. We offer free compatibility verification.
