Thermal Oil Pump — SeriesFBOT
Developed for pumping organic thermal oils. Bearing seal with dual safety system: oil-immersed mechanical seal and graphite packing.
TL;DR
The FBOT pump is a spiral-volute centrifugal pump developed to pump organic thermal oils at temperatures up to 350 °C.
It covers DN 25 to DN 300 across 35 catalogued models (25 standard + 10 large capacity), with flow up to 2,200 m³/h, head up to 135 m and rotation up to 3,500 rpm.
Dual-safety sealing: graphite fiber packing (5.5 mm) in the first stage in contact with the oil and a mechanical seal (Ø32/Ø42) immersed in oil in the bearing housing — the immersed seal removes the need for external sealing water even at 350 °C.
Back Pull-Out construction allows removing the bearing assembly without disconnecting piping; single-piece spiral volute casing in cast iron, carbon steel or stainless steel.
Construction per ASME B73.1 in standard and .1 variants (pressurized for N₂ systems), driven by electric motor or steam turbine — manufactured in Cabreúva-SP since 1944, with performance curves measured on an in-house test bench.

Hot Oil Pump up to 350°C with dual sealing

In an industrial heating circuit, the thermal oil pump runs continuously — plant availability depends on it. The FBOT was born for this duty: closed single-suction radial impeller, footless casing and hydraulics dedicated to hot oil, serving pharmaceutical, chemical, food, textile and plastics plants.
Dual sealing system: graphite packing + oil-immersed mechanical seal
Back Pull-Out design: maintenance without disconnecting piping
DN 25 to DN 300 — up to 2,200 m³/h, 135 m and 3,500 rpm
Up to 350°C — cast iron, carbon steel or stainless steel

Internal Construction & Sealing
Internal components and sealing system
FBOT pump internal construction: closed radial impeller, dual sealing system (graphite packing + oil-immersed mechanical seal), shaft with bearings and bearing housing chamber. Back Pull-Out design allows assembly removal without disconnecting piping.
Closed radial impeller — Ø152 to Ø317 mm
Graphite packing 5.5 mm + mechanical seal Ø32/Ø42
Ball bearings — oil (main) + grease (secondary)
General Description
Specialized construction for pumping organic thermal oils
Volute Casing
Spiral-shaped casing, cast as a single piece without feet. Supported directly on the mounting baseplate.
Back Pull-Out
The bearing assembly can be removed from the casing without disconnecting piping. Easy assembly, disassembly and maintenance.
Closed Impeller
Closed radial-type impeller, single suction. Maximum diameter 152 to 317mm.
Dual Sealing
Bearing seal with dual safety system: graphite packing (5.5mm) and mechanical seal (Ø32/Ø42) immersed in oil.

Main Components
Construction details per technical manual
Casing (Body)
Spiral-shaped casing, cast as a single piece without feet. Mounted on baseplate.
Impeller
Closed radial type, single suction. Width 5 to 23mm. Designed for organic thermal oils.
Shaft
Graphite packing (5.5mm) in 1st stage in contact with thermal oil. Mechanical seal (Ø32/Ø42) in bearing, immersed in oil.
Bearing Housing
2 ball bearings: the main one oil-immersed (continuous lubrication and thermal stability) and the secondary sealed, grease-lubricated for low maintenance.
Dual Sealing System
Exclusive feature for maximum operational safety
Bearing seal with dual safety system, using oil-immersed mechanical seal and graphite packing.
1st Seal: Graphite Packing
Graphite fiber packing (5.5mm) in the first sealing stage, in the region in contact with the pumped fluid (thermal oil).
2nd Seal: Mechanical Seal
Simple mechanical seal (Ø32/Ø42) inside the bearing housing, immersed in oil ensuring thermal stability of the system.
Result: Maximum operational safety with sealing redundancy

FBCN vs FBOT — standardized centrifugal or thermal oil?
Both share the centrifugal principle and back-pull-out construction. The decision point is temperature: up to 260°C FBCN handles it; above 260°C — up to 350°C — FBOT is the path.
