Understand the fluid
Composition, concentration and solids content help assess materials in contact with the liquid. Provide viscosity together with the operating temperature.
Viscosity: units and conversionDefine the flow rate and total head
The required flow rate must be considered alongside elevation, pressure at the destination and piping losses. Together, these determine the duty point.
How to assess head lossConsider suction and operating patterns
Provide tank level and pressure, suction piping details and demand variations. Available NPSH must be compared with the pump’s required NPSH, with an appropriate margin against cavitation.

FB Bombas designs, machines, assembles and tests its industrial pumps in its own factory. Every supply ships with the series documentation and support from our application engineers.
Application engineering
NPSH, viscosity, chemical compatibility and material selection reviewed by the people who design the pumps. 3D modeling and flow simulation support hydraulic development.
Machining and inspection
Components machined on CNC machining centers in our own factory, with dimensional inspection and non-destructive testing (NDT) to the supply specification.
Assembly and testing
Factory assembly and performance testing on a test bench; for centrifugal pumps, per ANSI/HI 14.6.
Documentation
Certified curve and FAT when the order requires them, plus series manuals. The Petrobras registration (CRC, formerly CRCC) is a supplier qualification, not a product certification; API 610 applies to engineered-to-order projects.
A story of Brazilian industry
A Brazilian manufacturer of gear and centrifugal pumps, FB Bombas started operations in 1944 in São Paulo and established itself in the national market supplying pumps to the main industrial sectors. It became a reference in gear pump manufacturing and is recognized for its centrifugal pumps. Today, the Cabreúva factory brings together engineering, machining, assembly and testing.

FB Bombas is the trading name of Fabricadora de Bombas Indústria e Comércio Ltda., CNPJ 61.381.240/0001-78, a Brazilian manufacturer of industrial pumps with its factory in Cabreúva-SP. The company reports a three-generation history that began in 1944 in São Paulo; that institutional history is not the registration date of the current CNPJ.

FB Bombas reports a registration in the Petrobras supplier registry. Petrobras issues the Certificado de Registro Cadastral (CRC), which replaces the former CRCC, to suppliers that meet one or more criteria of the supply family of interest; it is a supplier registration, not a product certification. Validity and supply families must be checked on the current certificate, provided on request.

Applicable standards depend on the series and project: the FBCN manual (MTEC-03/00) states mechanical construction per ASME B73.1; FBFS pump sets follow NFPA 20 or ABNT NBR 16704 when the specification requires it; API 610 is an engineered-to-order project scope. API, ASME, NFPA and ABNT publish the standards; they do not certify FB Bombas.
