FBFS Technical Manual
Stationary Fire-Fighting Pump Systems — NFPA 20 + ABNT NBR 16704/10897/13714 compliance for commercial and industrial buildings
The FBFS line covers three stationary fire-fighting pump system configurations — Electric (with jockey pump + automatic control panel), Diesel (with automatic-start engine + external fuel tank) and Electric+Diesel redundant (NFPA 20 compliant). Each configuration is sized per project demand table, factory-assembled in skid form, tested on FB hydrostatic test bench with mandatory FAT and engineering memorial signed by in-house engineer with ART. Flow coverage up to 2,270 m³/h and head up to 161 m, serving commercial buildings to petrochemical industrial complexes.

Who is this manual for
Fire safety engineers, hydraulic system designers, facility management leaders and industrial procurement teams who need FBFS systems compliant with NFPA 20 + ABNT NBR for fire department project approval and insurer validation.
When to use
Consult during sizing (choose between electric, diesel or redundant configuration per project requirement and power availability), when preparing the engineering memorial (ART signed by FB mechanical engineer) and in the mandatory FAT phase (FB hydrostatic test bench with real curve). Also use for NFPA 20 + NBR compliance validation with fire department and insurers.

NBR 10897: Automatic Sprinklers — Hazards, Densities and What the Standard Requires from the Pump
NBR 10897 governs automatic sprinkler systems in Brazilian buildings: hazard classification, the density/area method, system types and the water supply that sustains it all. A manufacturer guide to what the standard demands from the design — and why the fire pump is sized by hydraulic calculation, never from the catalog.

Fire Pump Room: Environment Requirements, Components and the Path to Approval
The pump room is the heart of the fire-fighting system — and the most failed room at inspection. Manufacturer guide: what NFPA 20 requires from the environment (fire-rated separation, temperature, ventilation, drainage), what goes inside, when the pre-assembled skid simplifies the job and how the state instruction leads the system to approval.
