What is the difference between a thermal oil pump and a regular pump?
A thermal oil pump has special components for high temperature: mechanical seal with high-resistance materials, bearings with cooling and materials compatible with thermal fluids. Regular pumps cannot withstand temperatures above 80-100°C.

What is the maintenance interval for FBOT pumps?
With proper preventive maintenance, FBOT pumps operate 8,000 to 12,000 hours between interventions. We offer preventive maintenance contracts and original spare parts.
How does bearing cooling work?
FBOT bearings are thermally isolated from the casing and have a cooling system by oil or air circulation. This keeps bearing temperature below 80°C even with fluid at 350°C.
Which thermal fluids are compatible with FBOT?
FBOT is compatible with major market thermal fluids such as Therminol, Marlotherm, Dowtherm and similar. Sealing materials are selected according to the specified fluid.
Does FB Bombas offer FBOT pump commissioning?
Yes, we offer commissioning service that includes alignment verification, assisted startup, parameter adjustment and operator training. This service is especially recommended for new systems.
