What to send to order a part
With the data below, FB Bombas engineering identifies the equipment and the part. A part number only holds together with the series and the manual table it came from, because the same numbering repeats across different series.
- A legible photo of the whole nameplate.
- Series and model exactly as on the nameplate, for example FBE 3″ CA or FBCN 150-400.
- Serial number.
- The part: its number and name in the manual list, with the table (for example, 400.1 Gasket (cover/casing), FBE Table 10), or a photo of the part.
- On the FBE, the installed sealing (packing, mechanical seal or lip seal), because each one has its own list.
- Quantity and delivery country.
The contact form does not take attachments: send the photos by WhatsApp +55 11 97287-4837 or to comercial@fbbombas.com.br, with the serial number in the message.
Where the nameplate is and what it shows
The manuals give the nameplate position for two series. On the FBEI it is fixed on top of the casing (manual MAN001-10, p.3); on the FBME, on top of the support (service manual MSERV-08/01, p.3). For the FBE, FBCN and FBOT series, the manuals treat the nameplate as a component (aluminum or stainless steel on the FBE, part 970 in the FBCN and FBOT lists) without giving its position.
If you cannot find it, send photos of the installed pump from different sides.
In the nameplate example in the FBME manual, the fields are customer, serial number, TAG, model/size, speed (rpm), flow (m³/h) and head (HEAD, in meters of water column). Copy the model and the serial number exactly as they appear on the nameplate, with letters, suffixes and dots.
How to read each series code
In the FBE, FBCN, FBOT and FBME manuals, the designation is FB, the model code and the sizes. The table shows each manual’s example and how to read it; for the FBEI, the catalog relates each model to its connection size.
| Series | Example | Reading | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| FBE | FB E 2″ | External gears; nominal diameter of the suction and discharge ports, in inches | Manual MTEC-01/01, p.1 |
| FBCN | FB CN 150-400 | Normalized centrifugal; nominal diameter of the discharge flange and of the impeller, in mm | Manual MTEC-03/00, p.1 |
| FBOT | FB OT 32-160 | Thermal oil; nominal diameter of the discharge flange and of the impeller, in mm | Manual MTEC-16/00, p.1 |
| FBME | FB ME 4/3 | Multistage centrifugal; nominal discharge diameter, in inches, and number of stages | Manual MTEC-08/01, p.1 |
| FBEI | FBEI-KK | Model by letters: HL 1.1/2″, KK 2″, LQ 2.1/2″, LS 3″, M 4″ and N 6″ | FBEI catalog 2026, p.4 |
On the FBEI, the model letters have no published meaning: give the model as shown on the nameplate.
FBE suffixes: A, CA, D, DA and module
The letters after the inch size are the nomenclatures of manual MTEC-01/01 (§1.2, p.4). The manual also mentions the CA-A combination, and each size page on the site shows the variants of the current line.
- A: Larger diameter gear
- CA: With heating chamber (1.1/2″ to 6″)
- D: Longer gear
- DA: Gear with greater length and module
- Gear module: M6 = module 6, M8 = module 8, M9 = module 9, M12 = module 11
A suffix not on this list, such as STD, has no definition published by FB. Give it as shown on the nameplate, without translating it; engineering confirms the build in the quotation.
Find the part in the manual list
The FBE, FBCN, FBOT and FBME manuals number the parts according to DIN EN 24250; the FBEI uses its own numbering in the exploded view. The FBE, FBCN, FBOT and FBEI model pages on the site already show each model’s parts list, and the FBME lists are in the technical manual.
| Series | List in the manual | Page |
|---|---|---|
| FBE with packing | Tables 7 to 11, by size: 1/8″–1/4″; 3/8″–1″; 1″ D and DA; 1.1/2″–3″; 4″ M6-M8-M12 | 8–12 |
| FBE with mechanical seal or lip seal | Tables 12 and 13 | 13 |
| FBE with heating chamber | Table 14 (1.1/2″ to 4″) | 14 |
| FBE: external bearing bracket and relief valve | Tables 15 and 16 | 15 |
| FBCN | Table 5 | 10 |
| FBOT | Table 3 | 8 |
| FBME | Table 2 (packing and oil-lubricated bearing) and Table 3 (mechanical seal and grease-lubricated bearing); "(n)" is a quantity equal to the number of stages | 7 and 9 |
| FBEI | Exploded view: items 1 to 27 with mechanical seal, 1 to 31 with packing | 7 |
On the FBE, the shafts run in bushings; a rolling bearing exists only in the optional external bearing bracket (Table 15). To order a bushing, give the material if you know it: the 2026 FBE catalog lists self-lubricating bronze, cast iron, PTFE (Teflon), graphite or babbitt metal.
Recommended spare parts
Three FB documents include spare-parts lists. The 2026 FBE catalog (p.4) lists the replacement components: drive shaft, driven shaft, drive gear, driven gear, bushing sets, covers, packing gland, packing gland nut, lip seal, mechanical seal and relief valve. The FBEI manual (MAN001-10, p.8) recommends, for two years of operation, internal gear, pin, support and internal gear bushings, the sealing set (packing or mechanical seal) and bearing.
The FBME service manual (MSERV-08/01, p.29) gives the recommendation for two years of continuous service according to DIN 24296, by number of pumps, including standby units.
The FBME manual states that FB supplies spare parts or repair parts according to the customer’s needs (MSERV-08/01, p.30). To build a plant’s spare-parts stock, send the list of installed pumps, with the model and serial number of each; availability and lead time of each item are confirmed in the quotation.
Pump from another manufacturer
FB Bombas does not supply parts for pumps from other manufacturers. To replace a pump of another brand, the route is a new FB pump: engineering checks the duty point, the connections and the baseplate before the proposal.
