Limits vary by series. FBE and FBEI: up to 350°C, provided a heating jacket and special sealing are used. FBOT: up to 350°C in thermal oil circuits. FBCN: up to 260°C, with materials and sealing suited to the service. Well-sized sealing and materials are a condition for safe operation in these ranges.

It directly affects viscous fluids: viscosity at winter cold start can be several times higher than at operation, raising the torque demanded from the motor. For oils, asphalt and resins, engineering evaluates a heating jacket and sizes the drive for the most severe condition — not the average.
