Each case is sized considering viscosity, temperature and chemical compatibility.

It depends on the service: fluid, temperature and operating pressure determine the configuration, which engineering defines. Available options are single seal, double seal (tandem or back-to-back), cartridge version and, in specific applications, packing glands. Hazardous fluids call for a double seal with barrier — that is the recommended option.

Yes. The FBCN series complies with ASME B73.1 (North American standard for horizontal end-suction process centrifugal pumps) — which enables retrofit on existing baseplates in Pedro II plants, whoever manufactured the installed unit, provided the dimension designation matches. Shaft dimensions, suction/discharge flanges, casing feet and impeller centerline follow the standard: the complete FBCN pump goes in and piping and baseplate stay put.
