FBE Gear Pumps in Água Branca

The FB line covers a wide range: mineral and synthetic oils, asphalt (CAP), BPF fuel oils, petroleum derivatives, molasses, resins, viscous chemical and hydraulic products (FBE series); raw and treated water, process fluids, industrial effluents (FBCN series); thermal oil at elevated temperatures (FBOT series). Each application is sized according to fluid viscosity, temperature and chemical compatibility.

Yes. FB Bombas offers technical training for operations and maintenance teams in Água Branca, with modules on: sizing and reading the characteristic curve, identifying cavitation through NPSH, mechanical-seal troubleshooting, laser alignment, ISO 10816 vibration analysis and PM (preventive maintenance) practice with bearing and wear-ring replacement. Training can be delivered at the customer plant or at the Cabreúva/SP factory, in person or hybrid.

It offers both. The FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) takes place on the Cabreúva/SP bench and covers hydraulic testing, characteristic-curve measurement (Q × H), hydraulic efficiency, NPSHr and ISO 10816 vibration; when the customer specifies, inspection witnesses the tests. In the SAT (Site Acceptance Test) of Água Branca projects, application engineering supports commissioning with startup checklist, laser alignment and capture of the baseline vibration signature.

ISO 21940 G2.5 is the grade applied to the rotating set of FB Bombas pumps — direct equivalence with what API 610 asks for heavy-duty service. Critical projects in Água Branca depend on this standard: continuous-regime operation, online vibration monitoring at the plant or high cost tied to unplanned downtime. When rotation exceeds 3,600 RPM or rotating mass goes over 50 kg, two-plane balancing is executed using a piezoelectric sensor.

Yes. Since FB Bombas manufactures entirely in Cabreúva/SP, replacement parts for the FBE, FBEI, FBCN and FBOT series are available directly from the factory, with short lead times for scheduled stops and priority service for emergencies. This significantly reduces total cost of ownership.

Four pillars: a current Petrobras CRCC registration for Oil & Gas; API 676 (positive displacement) on the FBE series; ASME B73.1 (process centrifugals) on the FBCN series; and NFPA 20 / NBR 16704 compliance for stationary fire pumps.

Sizing is performed by FB Bombas’ application engineering team based on four key variables: desired flow, differential pressure, working temperature and fluid viscosity. Additional data such as available NPSH, operating cycle and fluid chemical compatibility are also considered. The service is free of charge for customers in Água Branca.

It does. When a special application demands something beyond the standard portfolio, FB Bombas develops the solution: modified construction materials, specific sealing arrangements, system-integrated heating, skids, mobile assemblies and retrofit of existing installations. Engineering reviews each special project as a step prior to manufacturing.

There is no single configuration — engineering selects the mechanical seal based on the fluid, temperature and operating pressure. The range includes single seals, double seals in tandem or back-to-back arrangement, cartridge seals and packing glands in specific applications. When the fluid is hazardous, the recommendation is a double seal with barrier.
