The standard used is ISO 10816, with velocity RMS in mm/s, and the diagnosis — conducted by FB Bombas application engineering — identifies misalignment, imbalance, bearing defects and cavitation on pumps operating in Pedralva. At startup the baseline is captured; in PM campaigns, spectral comparison is performed; and interventions (re-balancing, bearing replacement, laser alignment) are recommended before vibration enters zone D.

For each delivery to Pedralva, FB Bombas assembles the unit's complete technical Data Book, containing: hydraulic test certificate, material certificates — stainless steel, duplex or ductile cast iron, per spec —, ISO 21940 G2.5 balancing report, characteristic curve obtained on the bench, API 682 mechanical-seal data sheets, operation and maintenance manual and as-built drawings. Full traceability happens through the serial number.

Each series has its thermal limit: with heating jacket and special sealing, FBE and FBEI reach 350°C; FBOT hits the same 350°C in thermal oil circuits; FBCN goes up to 260°C when fitted with proper materials and sealing. Safe operation requires correctly sized sealing and materials.
