It depends on the service: fluid, temperature and operating pressure determine the configuration, which engineering defines. Available options are single seal, double seal (tandem or back-to-back), cartridge version and, in specific applications, packing glands. Hazardous fluids call for a double seal with barrier — that is the recommended option.

Limits vary by series. FBE and FBEI: up to 350°C, provided a heating jacket and special sealing are used. FBOT: up to 350°C in thermal oil circuits. FBCN: up to 260°C, with materials and sealing suited to the service. Well-sized sealing and materials are a condition for safe operation in these ranges.

Yes. The process starts with FB Bombas' application engineering, which studies the installed pump's specifications — flow, pressure, viscosity, temperature — and indicates the dimensional or functional technical equivalence within our series. In Pedra Azul, many clients have already completed this swap and gained in lead time, cost and local support.

Yes. Existing installations can undergo retrofit with FB Bombas — the scope covers seal upgrades, swapping worn components, adaptation for new fluids and hydraulic performance gains. A technical report on the current installation serves as the basis for the assessment.

Yes. FB Bombas application engineering supports ISO 10816 vibration analysis (velocity RMS in mm/s) for diagnosing misalignment, imbalance, bearing defects and cavitation on pumps installed in Pedra Azul. The service includes baseline capture at startup, spectral comparison during PM campaigns, and intervention recommendations (re-balancing, bearing replacement, laser alignment) before vibration exceeds the standard’s zone D.

FB Bombas holds: active CRCC at Petrobras (supplier registry for Oil & Gas); compliance with API 676 (international standard for positive displacement pumps — FBE series); compliance with ASME B73.1 (standard for process centrifugal pumps — FBCN series); compliance with NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) standards and ABNT NBR 16704 for stationary fire protection pump systems.

It depends on the configuration: standard-arrangement pumps have shorter lead times, while special constructions follow the schedule stated in the technical proposal. The deciding factor is the combination of series, materials and stock availability — and transport to Pedra Azul goes through our regular road operator.

Yes. The FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) is executed on the factory bench in Cabreúva/SP, with hydraulic test, characteristic-curve measurement (Q × H), hydraulic efficiency, NPSHr and ISO 10816 vibration — witnessed by customer inspection when specified. For projects in Pedra Azul, the SAT (Site Acceptance Test) is supported by application engineering during commissioning, with startup checklist, laser alignment and baseline vibration-signature capture.

Four families are manufactured in Cabreúva/SP: external gear FBE and internal gear FBEI for viscous fluids, standardized centrifugal FBCN for low-viscosity liquids and FBOT for thermal oil circuits up to 350 °C. Fire-fighting systems per NFPA 20 / NBR 16704 complete the line.
