Shaft dimensions, suction/discharge flanges, casing feet and impeller centerline follow the standard: the complete FBCN pump goes in and piping and baseplate stay put.

Each series has its thermal limit: with heating jacket and special sealing, FBE and FBEI reach 350°C; FBOT hits the same 350°C in thermal oil circuits; FBCN goes up to 260°C when fitted with proper materials and sealing. Safe operation requires correctly sized sealing and materials.

It depends on the service: fluid, temperature and operating pressure determine the configuration, which engineering defines. Available options are single seal, double seal (tandem or back-to-back), cartridge version and, in specific applications, packing glands. Hazardous fluids call for a double seal with barrier — that is the recommended option.
