FB Bombas has been manufacturing industrial pumps since 1944, with over 82 years of continuous experience. The factory in Cabreúva/SP operates with engineering, manufacturing and testing under one roof, ensuring total quality control on every unit supplied to Almenara and all of Brazil.

It depends on the configuration: standard-arrangement pumps have shorter lead times, while special constructions follow the schedule stated in the technical proposal. The deciding factor is the combination of series, materials and stock availability — and transport to Almenara goes through our regular road operator.

Four pillars: a current Petrobras CRCC registration for Oil & Gas; API 676 (positive displacement) on the FBE series; ASME B73.1 (process centrifugals) on the FBCN series; and NFPA 20 / NBR 16704 compliance for stationary fire pumps.

They do. The FBCN series dimensionally meets ASME B73.1, the North American standard for horizontal end-suction process centrifugal pumps. In practice, a Almenara plant running a normalized pump of the same designation achieves retrofit on the already-installed baseplate: since shaft dimensions, suction/discharge flanges, casing feet and impeller centerline follow the same standard, the FBCN pump takes the place of the previous one — piping and baseplate stay intact. Hydraulic equivalence (Q×H and NPSH) is checked separately, on the data sheet.

Yes. As a Brazilian manufacturer accredited in FINAME — the BNDES Special Industrial Financing Agency —, FB Bombas qualifies equipment supplied to Almenara for BNDES Finame financing lines (Industrial Working Capital, Modernization, Capital Goods), with preferential conditions for national industry. On the technical proposal, the commercial team includes the product's FINAME code to enter the customer's financial plan.

Limits vary by series. FBE and FBEI: up to 350°C, provided a heating jacket and special sealing are used. FBOT: up to 350°C in thermal oil circuits. FBCN: up to 260°C, with materials and sealing suited to the service. Well-sized sealing and materials are a condition for safe operation in these ranges.

The portfolio covers four in-house series: FBE (external gear) for viscous fluids, FBEI (internal gear) for low-pulsation services, FBCN (standardized centrifugal) for water and light fluids and FBOT (dedicated centrifugal) for thermal oil — plus complete fire-fighting systems per NFPA 20 and NBR 16704.

FB pumps are supplied with a warranty against manufacturing defects according to the terms detailed in the commercial proposal. The warranty assumes installation, operation and maintenance within the parameters specified in the manual and sizing performed by engineering.
