There is no single configuration — engineering selects the mechanical seal based on the fluid, temperature and operating pressure. The range includes single seals, double seals in tandem or back-to-back arrangement, cartridge seals and packing glands in specific applications. When the fluid is hazardous, the recommendation is a double seal with barrier.

The FB Bombas rotating set is balanced per ISO 21940 G2.5 (a balancing grade equivalent to API 610 requirements for heavy-duty service) — required for critical projects in Jangada with continuous regime, plants with online vibration monitoring or applications with high cost of unplanned downtime. For machines running above 3,600 RPM or with rotating mass over 50 kg, balancing is performed on two planes with a piezoelectric sensor.

Three fluid fronts are covered by the FB series. FBE: mineral and synthetic oils, asphalt (CAP), BPF fuel oils, petroleum derivatives, molasses, resins, viscous chemical and hydraulic products. FBCN: raw and treated water, process fluids and industrial effluents. FBOT: thermal oil at elevated temperatures. Fluid viscosity, temperature and chemical compatibility guide the sizing of every application.

Limits vary by series. FBE and FBEI: up to 350°C, provided a heating jacket and special sealing are used. FBOT: up to 350°C in thermal oil circuits. FBCN: up to 260°C, with materials and sealing suited to the service. Well-sized sealing and materials are a condition for safe operation in these ranges.

Service to Jangada is handled directly by the FB Bombas team at the Cabreúva/SP factory. That means direct contact with application engineering for sizing, a complete technical quotation within 3-5 business days and original spare parts supplied at factory-direct pricing. On-site technical visits to Jangada are planned based on project criticality.

Lead time depends on the chosen series, construction materials and stock availability. For standard configuration pumps, lead times are shorter; for special or custom constructions, the schedule is informed in the technical proposal. Logistics for Jangada is handled by our regular road operator.
