Yes. ASME B73.1 dimensional compliance — the North American standard for horizontal end-suction process centrifugal pumps — is a feature of the FBCN series and enables retrofit on existing baseplates in Itapuranga plants, regardless of which brand occupied the base, provided the designation coincides. Shaft, suction/discharge flanges, casing feet and impeller centerline obey the standard, so the new pump takes the position without touching piping or baseplate.

Yes. The process starts with FB Bombas' application engineering, which studies the installed pump's specifications — flow, pressure, viscosity, temperature — and indicates the dimensional or functional technical equivalence within our series. Yes — Itapuranga is part of FB Bombas’ direct service area. Supply, engineering support and spare parts ship from the factory in Cabreúva/SP; sizing is done at no cost and, when the project is critical, the team evaluates an on-site technical visit.

The FB line covers a wide range: mineral and synthetic oils, asphalt (CAP), BPF fuel oils, petroleum derivatives, molasses, resins, viscous chemical and hydraulic products (FBE series); raw and treated water, process fluids, industrial effluents (FBCN series); thermal oil at elevated temperatures (FBOT series). Each application is sized according to fluid viscosity, temperature and chemical compatibility.

It offers both. The FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) takes place on the Cabreúva/SP bench and covers hydraulic testing, characteristic-curve measurement (Q × H), hydraulic efficiency, NPSHr and ISO 10816 vibration; when the customer specifies, inspection witnesses the tests. In the SAT (Site Acceptance Test) of Itapuranga projects, application engineering supports commissioning with startup checklist, laser alignment and capture of the baseline vibration signature.

The FB Bombas rotating set is balanced per ISO 21940 G2.5 (a balancing grade equivalent to API 610 requirements for heavy-duty service) — required for critical projects in Itapuranga with continuous regime, plants with online vibration monitoring or applications with high cost of unplanned downtime. For machines running above 3,600 RPM or with rotating mass over 50 kg, balancing is performed on two planes with a piezoelectric sensor.
